MANster Festival

In Paulo Amparo’s “Manster Carnival”, he traverses through the masks and hearts of those around him and himself. Playing with the word “monster”, he exhibits what he sees, either a man or a monster, instead a complicated species navigating life and its habitat. It is a carnival of experiences, pretenses, and mechanisms surrounding human nature mixed with societal issues and personal understanding of his sentiments towards others. Be it good or bad, past or present, we all have reasons for projecting ourselves publicly and denying vulnerability to others.
