Fun House

A Group Exhibition

November 4 – 13, 2022

Terrifying, ghoulish, and supernatural are only a few of the central ideas that come into mind when one talks about Halloween. Homes decorated with pumpkins, skeletons, and spider webs, people of all ages dressed as their favorite nightmarish characters, and the tradition of Trick-or-Treat; a practice wherein children dressed in costumes walk up from door to door in their neighborhood, saying this famous phrase in order to fill their baskets with delicious treats. It is easy to say that Halloween is definitely one of the most anticipated celebrations of the year.

For the month of October, the exhibition “Funhouse” celebrates the spirit of this festive occasion, featuring artists Aka Chan, Jeosh Grimshaw, and Kwin Chi. Each artwork shows an impressive display of ghostly characters which, as the title suggests, are usually found in haunted fun houses. Though dark and nightmarish, the artworks show thrilling scenes that invite viewers to join in on the Halloween season.
