Representing an experience, a feeling, or an idea, the unexplained abstractions of the mind are interpreted through physical manifestations that appear to be misplaced only to be identified by those who can relate. At the end of the day, the whimsical and dreamy works were not just beautiful and confusing pieces, they also became a memento of some artists’ deeper thinking and experiences.
In Arte Bettina’s latest exhibit, “Some part of me is still floating”, the spontaneity of the unconscious is explored by three sought-after sculptors; Toym Imao, Niccolo José, and Eric Masangkay. Contrasting and delving into the abstract mechanisms of the mind through physical representations, the exhibit serves as a recollection and interpretation of thoughts and dreams lost in the limitless abyss of the human mind.
